چکیده
In the past decade, multi-principal element high-entropy alloys (referred to as alloys, HEAs) are an emerging alloy material, which has been developed rapidly and become a research hotspot in field of metal materials. It breaks design concept one or two principal elements traditional alloys. is composed five more elements, atomic percentage (at.%) each greater than 5% but not 35%. The effect caused by increase makes crystals easy form body-centered cubic face-centered structures, may be accompanied intergranular compounds nanocrystals, achieve solid solution strengthening, precipitation dispersion strengthening. optimized composition can make HEAs exhibit much better such high-strength steel, stainless copper-nickel alloy, nickel-based superalloy terms high strength, hardness, high-temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance. At present, refractory (RHEAs) containing high-melting have excellent room temperature properties, their potential application value attracted widespread attention field. This article reviews status preparation methods RHEAs analyzes microstructure system then summarizes various properties RHEAs, including wear etc., common property tuning explained, existing main strengthening toughening mechanisms revealed. knowledge will help on-demand crucial trend future development. Finally, development prospects prospected guide research.

Development of a Refractory High Entropy Superalloy
Microstructure, phase composition and mechanical properties of a refractory high entropy superalloy, AlMo0.5NbTa0.5TiZr, are reported in this work. The alloy consists of a nano-scale mixture of two phases produced by the decomposition from a high temperature body-centered cubic (BCC) phase. The first phase is present in the form of cuboidal-shaped nano-precipitates aligned in rows along <100>-t...
متن کاملExploration and Development of High Entropy Alloys for Structural Applications
We develop a strategy to design and evaluate high-entropy alloys (HEAs) for structural use in the transportation and energy industries. We give HEA goal properties for low (≤150 °C), medium (≤450 °C) and high (≥1,100 °C) use temperatures. A systematic design approach uses palettes of elements chosen to meet target properties of each HEA family and gives methods to build HEAs from these palettes...
متن کاملThe Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Refractory High-Entropy Alloys with High Plasticity
Refractory high-entropy alloys (RHEAs) are promising materials used at high temperature, but their low plasticity restricts their application. Based on the valence electron concentration (VEC) principle, four kinds of RHEAs (ZrTiHfV0.5Nb0.5, Zr2.0TiHfVNb2.0, ZrTiHfNb0.5Mo0.5, and ZrTiHfNb0.5Ta0.5) are designed (VEC < 4.5). The experimental results show that the plasticity of these alloys was gr...
متن کاملMulticomponent and High Entropy Alloys
This paper describes some underlying principles of multicomponent and high entropy alloys, and gives some examples of these materials. Different types of multicomponent alloy and different methods of accessing multicomponent phase space are discussed. The alloys were manufactured by conventional and high speed solidification techniques, and their macroscopic, microscopic and nanoscale structure...
متن کاملAtomic and electronic basis for the serrations of refractory high-entropy alloys
Refractory high-entropy alloys present attractive mechanical properties, i.e., high yield strength and fracture toughness, making them potential candidates for structural applications. Understandings of atomic and electronic interactions are important to reveal the origins for the formation of high-entropy alloys and their structure−dominated mechanical properties, thus enabling the development...
